Parent/Guardian of a Clintonian —
Today clearly demonstrated that the building is waterproof. So are you, and I hope in this way that you can join Java with Jill this evening (decaf) as she welcomes Sean Grover to Clinton.
Sean’s presentation and talks are always informative. Whether your child is 11 going on 15 or 15 going on 11, Sean has a remarkable way of helping to take back a bit of sanity and talk through some of the issues you may face as a parent or family.
Supporting our students’ social and emotional health is a challenge. Adolescents today face a range of challenges, some of which are familiar to us as ex-teenagers, and others that are new. Although at times daunting, I am particularly energized this week as Allison, Tracy, Cheryl and I have been working overtime supporting students, classes and even grades with some of their struggles.
I am very much looking forward to sharing with you some of the revisions to our schedule in late May or early June that will allow for social and emotional support in 2017-18 as our cohort enters the IB.
