PLEASE FILL IN AND RETURN YOUR NYC DOE Parent Surveys! It is important for our administration to know how you feel about your child's experience at Clinton, so please fill out your survey as soon as possible and return it to the Parent Coordinator or take the survey online by April 11th. Clinton students and faculty are also participating in this survey at school.
Directions are included in the packet that was sent home. If you have any questions, please contact Jill Bennett.
Please come early and check out the PA's raffle prizes. There will be gift certificates, jewelry and great beauty items perfect for Mother's Day gifts. Buy a ticket for a chance to win one of these great items. Raffle tickets cost $2, $5 or $10 depending on the value of the item.
Clinton is Expanding!
In September 2015, The Clinton School for Writers and Artists will be expanding to a High School! Our new building (see the architect's renderings to the right) is located at
10 East 15th Street, right in the heart of Union Square!
We will be adding a 9th grade in the 2015/2016 school year, and 10th, 11th and 12th grades in each subsequent year.
The April General meeting at 8:30am on April 11th is a really important one for you to attend for a couple of reasons! Please put it on your calendar now (and we'd also love to see you for the March meeting, but we really need you in April)!
The revised by-laws need to be briefly discussed and voted on by you - Clinton's parents.
Immediately following, we will be joined by Michelle Cuilla Lipkin, Executive Director of the National Association for Media Literacy Education, who will be discussing how to
BE MEDIA SAVVY with your kids. She will talk about social media safety, digital citizenship and cyber-bullying, as it applies to your kids.
Earlier that week, Michelle will be conducting grade-specific assemblies with all Clinton students and staff, discussing these topics. All parents can benefit from the information that is being provided to our students, your kids.
The Parents Association needs your support! The PA pays for arts enrichment programs (like dance and theater), the Spring Musical, classroom and art supplies, and other expenses that benefit our kids.
We are raising funds with two upcoming raffles; please ask your friends, business associates, and businesses you frequent to donate raffle prizes: here’s the form you will need.
You can also support our talented students by buying an Oz T-Shirt. It's a unisex cotton tee in emerald green with yellow lettering that says "There's No Place Like Clinton." Shirts are $15, available in Youth XL, Adult S, M, L, and XL. Download the order form here, and leave with payment (checks please) in Ms. Bennett's office. Please contact Debbie Halperin with questions.
